Flow Ams tear up Finnish Nationals |
SATURDAY MARCH 31ST, 2007 VUOKATTI, FINLAND. In a country that you can argue is producing some of the world's best riders, the Flow amateur team had a powerful showing at last week's Finnish Nationals.
Flow amateur Petja Piiroinen won the age 16 and under halfpipe. His run consisted of a huge frontside air, equally big backside air, a frontside 540, another big backside air, frontside 720 and a Cab 720 to end it. In the slopestyle event Petja placed 5th. Wonder if his famous brother Peetu is getting nervous?
In the boy's age 13 and under, Flow Micron Riku Lansio won the halfpipe and slopestyle event. Riku's halfpipe run consisted of a high backside Indy air, frontside mute air, another huge backside air with back-to-back 360's to end it. In the slopestyle Riku threw down a backside 540, and a frontside 360, ending with a fifty-fifty on the final rail to win it.
Watch out for these up-and-coming Flow amateur riders and as they are starting to show they could be the FUTURE for the Flow team. Congrats boys keep up the sick riding!
